How much does it cost to get started in Immersive? | Blend Media

Whatever your motivation and KPI’s, you probably want to get an idea of how much things cost before you get started.

Whilst it's always tricky to estimate costs without a solid understanding of the brief,  we have attempted to break down some immersive projects you could do and identify a range of budgets and key considerations. Please note these are just guidelines.

1. AR Effects for Social Platforms 

Distribution: Snap chat, Instagram, Facebook

Turnaround time: Between 2-8 weeks depending on the complexity of the project

Considerations that will impact the budget:  Asset creation, concept development, 3D modelling, Multiple platform delivery, Feedback and revisions

Starting from: £3,000

2. AR Experience outside of Social Platforms

Distribution: AR poster, Print Ad (launched via QR code using Web AR or via an app)

Turnaround time: 4-6 weeks

Considerations that will impact the budget:  Asset creation, concept development, 3D modelling

Starting from: £8,000

3. AR Game Experience for Social Platforms

Distribution: Snap chat, Instagram, Facebook

Turnaround time: 4-6 weeks

Considerations that will impact the budget:  Asset creation, concept development, 3D modelling, Multiple platform delivery, Feedback and revisions

Starting from: £10,000

4. 3D Product Visualization

Distribution: Website, e commerce platform, or app

Example: Ikea app

Turnaround time: 6 weeks+

Considerations that will impact the budget:   Amount of assets needed to be created, platform integrations, iOS or Android

Starting from: £15,000

5. VR Training solution 

Distribution: Web VR or Headset

Example: L’oreal Salon Training Experience 

Turnaround time: 3 weeks+

Considerations that will impact the budget:   360 video or CGI, passive or interactive experience, use of talent, location.

Starting from: £25,000

6. Immersive Tours

Distribution: WebVR or Headset

Example: Macallan Whiskey Distillery Tour

Turnaround time: 4 weeks +

Considerations that will impact: Size and location of building/facility, Production requirements, scripting, location, movement of camera, aerials, voiceovers, duration of experience.
